Beauty Changes Lives Sassoon Scholarship Winners Announced

Three Future Professionals from Paul Mitchell Schools won Vidal Sassoon Professional Beauty Education Scholarships. Amber Valdez and Isabelle Wills from Rudy and Kelly Academy, and Lucy Mora from Paul Mitchell The School Logan won basic scholarships, which pay for 50% of their tuition (up to $10,000 tuition) at a qualified school.

Caesars Palace was a sea of beautiful hair when 2,500 cosmetology students arrived for Paul Mitchell Schools’ 29th annual Caper event—a 3-day educational extravaganza featuring world-class hair shows, hands-on classrooms and inspiration from the likes of singer-songwriter Marie Osmond and comedian-inspirational speaker Kathy Buckley, to name a few. Hosted by Paul Mitchell Co-owners John Paul DeJoria and Angus Mitchell, Paul Mitchell Schools’ Dean and Co-founder Winn Claybaugh, and Paul Mitchell Global Artistic Director Robert Cromeans, the smoke-free, alcohol-free event included top artists and educators from in and out of the Paul Mitchell world.

Future Professionals from Paul Mitchell The School Pasadena had a very special opportunity when they were selected to perform makeovers for Top Idol, ETTV's annual talent search. Under the supervision of Alee Cao, dean of Paul Mitchell The School Pasadena, the up-and-coming future stylists used their creativity to create new looks for the contestants, based on their individual personalities.
